well. it's been what 2 months i have lived here and what can i say??? so um yeah now i am a eastside lion!! i am happy at my new school i have like a couple of new friends! it's okay but not asgood as animo!! i hated animo for maybre the reasons u hate it now like uniforms and stuff but once you conect with the teachers and all your friend you won't ever want to leave. to me i consider animo as more that just a school with freinds and teachers... it's a family..
right now i am happy to say i'm an eastside lion but if they ask me what school did you go to last year i would say with pride and dignity,, proudly i was an animo venice pirate!!! take care everyone and keep ur heads up!!! you can make a differnce in life... the champions of tommorow!!!

the end of the year!!!!

well i can say i had lots of fun and i became the best of friend s with a girl who i thought i would never talk to after middle skool!!! and my friend ana who i never liked in the beggining of the year became my sister!!! hahahahahah lol! i have learned a lot here. i wish i could come back here but i am moving far away!!!!! well i will come to visit. well all i have to say is that i hated this skool when it began but twordards the end it was tight!!!! well adios!!!

THEY ARE PROTESTING HR4437! ILEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN THE US WILL BE CONSIDERS CRIMINALS AND AMERICANS CAN NOT HELP ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND IF THEY DO THEY WILL BE ARRESTED AND PROSECUTED.

THEY JUST WANTED TO HELP THERE COUNTRIES! THERE POINT WAS TO HELP THERE PEOPLE!

What do you think about the article?

I thought it was pretty interesting for me! it was amazing the things that could happen to so many teenagers everyday!
What have people done on friends sites such as myspace that put themselves in danger?

Stupid people have given there full name gave there address, there numbers, they have text, and have there own pictures on line!
If you use a blog or myspace, what can you do to protect yourself?

Do these simple steps: 1)Use password protection.
2)Only talk to people you know online.
3)Only post basic information; never give out your full name, city, school, phone number or address. this is all you would have to do to be safe.

What do you think about Greendot’s efforts to block sites such as myspace?

well i think that it isn't as bright as an idea, i mean it's not only greendot who should feel proud that there stopping kids from being rapped everyday! L.A.U.S.D is also doing the samething. students from Venice High have told me that they don't have myspace.com at school that it's blocked, so my question to greendot is what do you intend on doing? i mean there are always was of getting into myspace, wheather it's at home, you do know the majority of the paernts don't care about there kids, right, so how do you plan on stopping it? you tell me! we Greendot student are intellegent, we can deny people we don't know, you know, i wouldn't be stupid enough to say " oh hey john i don't know him but as long as i have one more friend i will approve him!" that is the stupidest thing to do! that it is retarted! yet some kids do that just to have the most friends, that does make them stupid and it is there choice if they want to approve someone they don't know, talk to them, the guy tells them that they are 15, meet them and find out they are 36! that's there choice wheather we want to get rapped! but i'm sure the majority of them would say hell no! so it's a thing they(the students), Greendot, and everybody who has a my space would have to think about! do we want to die? to feel over protected?

what did you like about meeting Luis Rodriguez?
I liked that he explained everything of his teenage life and he gave us advice, he is a very intelligent man.

Do you think it's a good thing that he started that cultural center? (explain)
yes, I think it is a good thing that he started the cultural center because it seems like a good place to go and relax, it's really nice, it looks like something from out of a movie, a place to go and think of your problems.

What has Luis Rodriguez taught about choices?
Well his life has taught me that it's very hard to make choices, that even the slightest thing that you do may have been the stupidest choice you could have ever made. Life is difficult with out an education and with drugs and stealing involved, choices are very tough to make.

In your opinion is Luis a leader?
To me Luis Rodriguez is an awesome relentless and more a fantastic leader, even if he admits he screwed up his life in the beginning he goes back and tell teenagers to be smart and not mistakes the way he did.

In my first semester at Animo Venice i think i started off pretty good. Then later on i started getting worst. I think the easiest class for me was spanish because i already know spanish. i had the best vacation ever! not! i went to my aunt's house all 2 weeks and it was boring. mostly only the weekends were fun especially our christmas party was really fun i got $50, a boombox, a necklace, a braclet, 2 shirts, shoes, and clothing. everything else way all boring. well thats all!

What i would consider my community is a place with lots of people and places to go like the mall and stuff.
What is a problem that you have noticed in your community?
There is too much violence and stuff like that. too much prostitution. it really is sickening.

There is too much violence because where i live it it too violent. there are fights everywhere and it's scary to go outside. i can't stand living there. i would like to move , so many gangster fighting it is terrible.

Well there is some one who ends up dead. it's scarey to see. i wouldn't want to use names but you know the tipicle things like guns and stuff. i get so annoyed. i heard gun shots and i am so terrifyed to look so i guess, "is some one being killed or there just trying to start some thing." it suckes to live there.

If some one wants to visit us, we have to make sure it's daytime or that maybe the street is clear. they would hurt who ever they don't know. they once wanted to kill my brother thinking that he was a cop. they huddled up in a circle thinking of what to do to him until one of them realized that it was him. my brother married his cousin, but that was to close and too riskey.

it's just too scary i some times can't stand it and wounder why my parents chose to live there. i see some one dead every two freaken weaks, i'm scared. i just........... i cry thinking, "what if something happens to any of my family." i would want police protecting around the clock,for the sake of the kids, and families.

CHAMPIONS EXPERIENCE!

On tuesday nov. 22 we went to malibu on a trip to have new adventures! we had so much fun with the teachers and staff! we did so many fun things like rock climing and high ropes. it was almost like a live fear factor. there was dramatic arts, enviornmental arts and so many cool games! there was lots of new things i had never done before. i learned that communication was very impotant in our enviornments and that you have to face you fears! champions its a great place to pass time.

i thought Joe Hicks was very nice. He didn't seem like a bad person. I would defenitly consider Joe a great leader! he is smat and has what it takes to be a good leader. well to me, i personaly think that i do not have the capacity to be a leader, i mean i am smart but i don't think i hold that gift. I think some people are very talented and have that gift, to be a leader and other don't. People in the world are just bound to be leader and other may just mess things up more.

To:My beloved Grandmother, Orbelina Perez De Morales, may you rest in peace.
My grandmother left in us happiness. She was the sunlight of our day. She was the ray of sunlight! She cared for each and every one. She comforted us at difficult times. Now we know she is in a better place! She was a faithful Christian and she is now resting with our lord in heaven. She couldn't have been a better person. She was in a hospital at the time of her death. She passed away on November 7, 2005. We loved and still love her dearly. My entire family shed tears when we saw her once again on Thursday November 10, 2005 for her funeral. The next morning they took her away, I knew it was the last time I would see her. I went before her and asked for forgiveness for all the bad things I ever did or for what might have hurt her for what I said. I felt that there was no one that could take the pain I had in my heart. The sorrow for her loss. I wanted to fall on my knees and beg for fogivness. None the less I knew I had to be strong! For my mother was watching me and she felt as if a piece of her heart had been taken, there for my great grandmother must have been worst. She couldn't look into to casket without breaking down into tears. they took her out of the house where my uncle, Juan, is formally living. I broke down, that proves what happens when you bottle everything up. It hurts, it brings pain. I stood, outside in the coldness, shaking but I was not quit sure it was the cold morning air, it was the the strength that was gone from my body. I grabbed on to my cousin, obed, who was also crying from the pain. He started to hug me little by little. We ended up crying in each others arms. To me my heart was taken from me, today its worst. I write this in tears of fretfullness, for today, November 13 of 2005, they are burying her! In the place of her birth, the place she was raised, the places she was promised, the place she was married, and the place she gave birth to 7 delightful children, Ana, Juan, Judith, Jonathan, Victoria, Misael, Jose,and 2 of which died in their time of youth. Our family is a blessing, she is gone but her presence, never, she is with us in spirit. Now she leaves with us her beloved husband, her brothers and sisters, her 7 kids, 20 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren will always be with us. We have beautiful and special memories with her, she lives, in our hearts, for ever.

I thought it was really cool! i really liked it!

1 thing i learned was that lot's of people where in concentration camps. They were big camps!

Well the truth to these answers are that Ms. Parks passed away Monday night in her Detroit home of natural causes. She became famous for not refusing to give up her seat to a white man! The real reasons for her actions were she wanted to free black peple to being treated like animals, people probaly thought "yeah right like that's gonn'a work." Before her actions she was just sitting down and after she was being confronted and being arrested. Well according to myself, if Ms. Parks wouldn't had acted, my life would be completely differnt. We would have so many rules and restrictions on the bus. I wouldn't really care, I would sit in the back if it was upto me to chose, but thanks to Ms. Parks we can sit where ever we want, and if anybody doubts it, they couldn't be more wrong. FROM THAT TIME I STARTED DOING BETTER AND GOT BETTER GRADES.
